Terms & Conditions

  1. Ownership of goods does not pass to the customer until paid in full.
  2. Any times quoted for delivery are estimated only and the seller shall not be liable for failure to deliver within the time quoted.
  3. Variations in shade and patterns are a natural feature in tiles. It is recommended that tiles from different cartons be mixed to get an acceptable blend of shade.  Customers are advised to check all tiles before laying and fitting as Hardwood Floors and Tiles cannot accept any responsibility for tiles or materials once they have been fitted.
  4. Colour glaze and application can vary considerably over a period of time. Samples on display are therefore for general guidance only and not necessarily identical to current stock.
  5. All goods should be checked by the buyer at the time of delivery.
  6. Claims for damaged, broken or incomplete goods after the goods have been delivered will not be accepted by Hardwood Floors & Tiles unless the goods are returned at the same time accompanied by original invoice/receipt.
  7. Returns of goods are accepted in full boxes only and are subject to a restocking charge of 25% and may only be made within 3 weeks from the purchase of tiles. No returns are accepted on special orders.  Our adhesive products are stored under specific conditions as advised by our manufacturers; we therefore cannot accept returns of these products from a customer.
  8. Natural stone products such as limestone, marble & slate, because of their nature have considerable variations in colour, shade and thickness. This should be noted at time of purchase as samples originally given may vary.  Care should be taken when laying and sealing same and customers are asked to follow the specific instructions given.
  9. Every assistance will be given in determining a customer’s requirements from drawings and measurements supplied, final responsibility for ordering the correct quantities rests with the customer or his/her agents.
  10. Should the customer require a fitter we can suggest a fitter whose workmanship is good, but ultimately the contract is entirely between the fitter and the customer and does not involve Hardwood Floors and Tiles.
  11. Timber is a natural product so we cannot guarantee colour, knot and grain variation as to what is shown on display.
  12. All concrete floors much be below 4% moisture prior to fitting timber floors. It is imperative the customer gets a professional timber floor fitter for fitting the floor.  All boards should be checked before fitting as once fitted it is not the responsibility of Hardwood Floors & Tiles in relation to any defects in the floor.
  13. Relative humidity, moisture levels of concrete and timber should all be checked for suitability and recorded before fitting of all timber floors.
  14. Customers are asked to ensure that staff and/or agents of Hardwood Floors and Tiles are not caused or allowed onto or into an unsafe or uninsured area, site or household. Customers are also asked to ensure that in all areas where protective clothing, helmets etc are required, that these materials be provided to them, or specified, prior to the arrival at the site/are of Hardwood Floors and Tiles staff or their agents.
  15. Quotations only valid for 30 days from date given.
